Once in a lifetime: Mykonos and Santorini

When it comes to the Greek islands I feel like words fail to describe places like Mykonos and Santorini. It is definitely something you need to experience at least once in a lifetime… So this time: less of my stories and more of the real-life photos…

After all these years of traveling to Greece and Cyprus and having an ongoing love affair with both – next week I´ll finally post a list of places and experiences that made Greece so special to me. It would be fair to say that as a passionate world traveler I try to choose a new destination every time: the world is so big and our time is simply limited. But, guess what? – Greece is a constant thing on my travel bucket list. No matter how much I visit it. I’m always willing to go back in order to experience its natural beauty along with a fascinating history…

In case of Mykonos and Santorini – everything is unique about these places. The surreal while-blue architecture, crystal waters, cordial greek mentality, traditional foods … I simply can´t get enough of the Greek Islands.

Still not convinced? – I´ll let my photos speak for themselves then.

Mykonos

Santorini

The Mediterranean region always makes me feel so inspired with its charming cities, vibrant coastline and, of course, delicious food. And while its laid-back way of life might not be a fit for everyone – this is where you learn to appreciate the small things and “live in the moment”. Who wouldn´t enjoy the vibes of the Italian Riviera or Spanish Costa Blanca, but Greece with its charming islands definitely have a special place in my heart.

As much as people get impressed by both Mykonos and Santorini, there´s more to the story here. As a country with 220 inhabited islands, Greece is still full of hidden gems. I´m already thinking of my future trips and which Greek Island to visit next. Crete, Corfu, Mykonos, Santorini, and Rhodes are already crossed out of my Greek bucket list, but what about the other 215?! Most likely, my next islands would be – Naxos, Paros, Hydra, and Milos. What about you?!

Have you ever been to Greece or the Greek Islands? What did you like the most about them?

Have a wonderful weekend,

Anna💗
