One of my biggest health&beauty discoveries of 2017: an Ayurvedic herb, called Neem. It´s been widely used in India as a traditional remedy for centuries. However, it´s just recently made it to my beauty routine – better late than never, I guess. Why I loved it so much?! – To start with, neem has strong anti-bacterial and immune-stimulant properties…
Neem has been an important part of traditional Ayurvedic remedies in India for over 5000 years. Nevertheless, it´s still relatively unknown within the European and American beauty world. This year I´m planning to switch most of my skin beauty products to more natural, eco-friendly and cruelty – free alternatives. Well, apparently Neem is one of the first herbs for all the skin problems and it really works great for me.
My Neem Beauty Favorites:
1. Neem Clay Mask // Just Neem
My favorite clay mask ever. It does not over-dry my skin, cleans the pores and gives it the healthy-shiny glow.
2. Neem Leaf // Nature´s Way
Here, you should consult your physician/doctor before taking. I´ve already mentioned that neem has numerous health benefits, mostly cause its leaves reportedly remove toxins and purify blood. In my case, I felt it was a great detox addition to my healthy vegetarian diet: will definitely repeat this Neem supplement next year.
3.Tea Tree Oil & Neem Toothpaste // Desert Essence
I´m obsessed with Tea Tree Oil and it´s been my must have for years. Whether I have an acne breakout or simply feel I´m getting a flu: a few drops of essential oil in my face serum, oil diffuser or bathtub always do a great job. No wonder this toothpaste also works well for me. Indeed, I do have toothpastes with healthier lists of ingredients, but I definitely give this one a credit cause of both tea tree oil and neem.
4.Neem Therapy Cleansing Bar // Theraneem Naturals
This cleansing bar is supposed to fit even for sensitive skin types. Not sure about this: I have combination skin type and it works well for me. This bar is not making my skin itchy or dry, but yet it´ s less hydrating than some other cleansers. Nevertheless, I use it every time I want to deep cleanse my skin with a brush or Clarisonic. Moreover, I feel like in this case, the more natural product I use with these deep cleansers, the better it is for my skin.
