These movies are some of my favorites, the most heart touching stories of love, kindness and compassion. We are all sceptic about the good in others. And yet it is no secret that if everyone would start from himself/herself and just be kinder, our planet would become a different place…
Movies That Touched My Heart
St.Giuseppe Moscati: Doctor to the Poor (2007)
As Gandhi said, the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others. But what is the cost of living your life for helping others? Would your loved ones carry this burden with you? Does happiness lie in being of assistance to others or living a normal life just for yourself? Simply a wonderful movie.
Like stars on Earth (2007)
A heart touching story of eight year old boy who saw the world differently. Society just couln´t forgive him that: struggles in school, loneliness … and all because you don´t act like everyone else. Sadly, it´s our reality.
Pay it forward (2000)
Some people say this movie would be more entertaining, if it was more realistic. They say in a modern world egoism is much more powerful than altruism. And this might be true or not. Somehow each one of us lives in a different reality, things are good or bad, because we make them good or bad. So how positive your mindset is and how much you believe all people are kind – it´s all up to you. In my life the good I do always comes back to me and I always “pay it forward”.
The Blind Side (2009)
Based on a true story, the movie shows how the kindness of a simple american family has completely changed a life of a homeless boy. I believe a lot of people deserve this chance in life. And it is not always about the place we come from but rather about who we are. I always enjoy this movie.
My name is Khan (2010)
The journey across all the USA to win back the love of your life, would you do it? Sad, sweet, inspiring, optimistic… this move has so many sides. How ignorant are some people…how a simple fear may hurt innocent lives…how you dare achieve the impossible. Loved this story.
The story of a young girl and her dreams. Daily life and problems of the main heroes perfectly reflect the society they live in, where women can not drive and have no right of voice. Nevertheless, kids across the globe still dream no matter what: and if you don’t give up on your dreams, despide everything they might come true one day. Bittersweet story with a powerful message behind. First film shot entirely in Saudi Arabia by a female Saudi filmmaker.
