Meet Me through The Liebster Award: Happy to join the club of The Liebster Award Winners. It’s always great to connect with like-minded bloggers and travelers from all over the world. Besides, The Liebster Award is such a great way to support each other…
Glad to be a part of it now. Thank you so much for considering me Csaba&Bea from Our Wanders.
Are you a planner or a spontaneous traveler?
Both. I love preparing for my trips, so I could see more things. But at the same time, sometimes I really enjoy last minute travels. I believe real adventures aren’t found on an itinerary. Mostly, every trip I plan also has a lot of spontaneous decisions and choices.
What is your favorite city?
Only one?! – I have a long list of favorite cities, lol. Hong Kong is my latest crush, though. I believe we choose cities that are suited to our personalities, but for some reason, I have a new “favorite one” every year.
What are your 3 favorite beaches in the world?
- Surin Beach/Phuket, Thailand
- El Serradal Beach/ Benicassim, Spain
- Punalu’u Black Sand Beach/The Big Island, Hawaii
Do you always travel to new places or are there places where you keep going back again and again?
I always try to go for something new. There are simply too many wonderful places still left on my constantly growing bucket list. And normally, I like it everywhere – every spot on this planet is unique and brings something new to my life. However, there are places I loved so much I´d gladly come back one day. For example, the Greek Islands.
Do you like visiting museums? Why or why not?
I love art in general, so yes I do like visiting museums. But at the same time, I don´t like every museum I visit. For instance, I loved Prado Museum in Madrid, MOMA in NY, Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, but I did not like that much the Pompidou museum in Paris, Guggenheim in Bilbao and American Museum of Natural History in NY.
What is the ideal way for you to explore a place (guided walking tour, hop on-hop off bus, following a guidebook, exploring randomly etc.)?
I love walking, exploring random places and seeing the real face of each city I visit. It is also true that sometimes hop on-off is a good option – the fast way to see a lot of things when your time is limited. I don´t do it often though. A guided tour might be a great option when you´re lucky with a guide. So, normally my plan is to research as much as I can, and then explore and experience everything by myself.
Do you prefer traveling alone or with someone?
I do both. I guess it also depends where I´m going. But normally I feel perfectly fine traveling solo.
Have you traveled within your home country / the country where you have grown up?
Yes, but I should admit – my dreams were always of exotic faraway lands and I was more passionate about experiencing something culturally different.
Has any place disappointed you? Why?
Maybe. But I always try to notice and memorize good things only. So all the negative fades away with time and I don’t even recall it happening.
Is blogging a hobby or a career for you?
It all started as a hobby, but it has definitely become much more than I´ve ever expected it to be. Nowadays, it´s my personal inspiration, a diary, and a platform to meet interesting people from across the globe.
What have you found the hardest when starting your blog?
I guess the hardest part was an actual decision to start a blog and go public with my life. I used to have private accounts all over the social media. Generally, we are all beginners in something at the certain point of our lives. So pretty much everything in blogging, which seems so easy now, was hard at the beginning.
